NORTH SHORE LEAGUE JUNIOR TEAM RULES

ELIGIBILITY

A) Juniors must have paid a membership fee or be involved in a continuous program.

B) Participants must play in the age group, which reflects their age as of the date of the final playoff match.

C) Any player that participates in the Northshore Men's A league is ineligible to play in the Northshore Junior league. Juniors may only play in the Men's A division.

MATCH FORMAT

A) Initial warm-ups including serves, are of a 10 minute duration

B) Any player more than 15 minutes late will default the match.

C) Singles matches will be a 10 game pro set with a one-hour time limit. Games will be no ad scoring. At the end of the time limit the game score is tied, the point will be split.

D) Doubles matches will be the best 2 out of 3 sets with a one and one- half hour time limit.

Games will be no ad- scoring, with a 9-point tiebreaker at 6-6. The serving rotation will remain the same throughout the tiebreaker as it was during the set.

Clubs will provide 4 new cans of balls.

TEAM SCORING

A) A point is awarded for each individual match win.

B) An extra point is awarded to the team with the most match wins.

C) One half-point is awarded if a singles or doubles match ends in a tie.

D) If overall match is tied, total number of games will determine the winner. If still tied, both teams will split the extra point.

STANDINGS/REPORTING SCORES

A) Standings are based on total point.

B) Match results must be reported to the Junior League Chairperson by 5pm on Saturday. A copy of the score sheet must be mailed to the Junior League Chairperson by Tuesday of the following week. It is the responsibility of the home club to see that a score sheet are postmarked within 3 days of the match or a $25 fine will be levied.
